Over the past month, since the application process was opened at the back end of January we have had numerous enquiries about what we are doing, when we are doing it and more importantly where we are going to be running these events.
Therefore, the below breakdown will provide clubs with the relative information needed to get your application in before the 31st March!
Mini Soccer Programme
Birmingham: The central venue programme will continue to run on Saturday mornings with the addition of U10s making the programme an U8s to U10s at Wolverhampton Universities Sport Campus in Walsall, #WlvSport.
South Coast & South West: The central venue programmes will continue to run out of Yate International Academy (Bristol) and Fleming Park (Eastleigh) for the U9 and U10s age groups, on Saturday afternoons
New for 2018/19
North West: After a positive season for the U10s, we are now building on this to offer the same opportunity as Birmingham and the South Coast. This will mean that as of September 2018 we will be hosting a Central Venue League for the below age groups at JMO Sports Park
Saturday Mornings (9am – 12pm): U9 and U10 for JPL Teams
Sunday (9am – 1pm): U7 to U10 for all clubs wishing to play in a focused mini soccer development league
Manchester: After a number of conversations with a variety of clubs and managers, we want to offer additional opportunity for those clubs who are currently playing Saturday football. Therefore, we will be offering Central Venue Football on a SUNDAY morning at the East Manchester Academy and one other venue for U7-U10 teams.
East Midlands: The 2017/18 season has seen a number of clubs from the East Midlands and Northants participate in the league and we want to be able to offer those clubs the opportunity to participate at younger age groups too. Therefore, from September’18 we will have an U9 and U10 Central Venue League playing out of Leicestershire, near Kirby Muxloe.
Oxfordshire: September 2018 will see us offer those clubs in the Oxfordshire and nearby region the opportunity to enter their younger teams (U8-U10s) in the Junior Premier League by playing in the Oxfordshire CVF, this will be played out of Kingsmere Sports Facility, Bicester.
All regions will have an U11 programme with teams playing home and away fixtures leading to a National Champions for the winners of the respective competitions.
Youth Development Programme
After reading over the recent club audit questionnaire we have looked to make some changes to the programme for next year. Therefore, the U12-U16 programme will see the continuation of the seeding leagues, however these will be larger at the start leading to a larger more regionalised fixture list for the clubs in the league currently. Clubs can expect to play roughly 22 league fixtures with the addition of a cup run.
To maximise the programme and ensure clubs in specific areas have shorter journey times we would like to encourage applications from clubs in the below areas; Berkshire, East Midlands, South East, North West and Yorkshire.
Furthermore, new for 2018-19 will see the launch of the Essex Junior Premier League to offer those clubs an alternative to the current Sunday programme. If you want a challenge for 2018-19 then come and check out the Essex Junior Premier League.
If you would like to be part of the league for the 2018-19 season please email: [email protected] or call 07496 150 452 for more information.
