Match Report

1st Half

Positive start to the game by both sides, with both teams attacking each other strongly. Ethan Hartness of H&DYFC making break from back down left flank beating players and hitting shot which is well blocked. Both defences standing up strongly throughout the half and making good, strong tackles which keeps the game tight. Wiltshire put good pressure on H&DYFC which leads to repeated corners, however H&DYFC hit them on one corner on a counter attack with ball played forward by Luke Blackman to Ollie Miell who beats his marker with power and pace, running through on goal and beating keeper well with a low shot. The half then continues with a strong midfield battle, and Wiltshire continuing to fight back. A Wiltshire cross is claimed well by H&DYFC keeper Charlie Fry, who initiates a counter attack with a brilliant throw out and H&DYFC attack but shot is blocked well by Wiltshire defence and keeper. 1st half ends H&DYFC 1 – Wiltshire 0.

2nd Half

H&DYFC start the 2nd half strongly and dominate possession, with Lenny Lowry controlling the midfield and distributing the ball wide to launch various H&DYFC attacks. Brandon Pester working well down right hand side, and beats his man, crosses but shot is blocked. Harley Daish whips great left footed ball between keeper and defence to Ollie Miell whose shot is again blocked very well. Wiltshire continue to press but H&DYFC defence stands up strongly and do not allow any real clear cut chances. Lenny Lowry surges through midfield and wins 2 consecutive challenges to then be able to shoot and score well past Wiltshire keeper. H&DYFC continue to dictate the pace of the game in this half, and Adam Larmond beats man down right hand side and hits a superb shot from just inside the box to top left hand corner with a superb finish. Blin Hoxha and Charlie Cox in midfield start taking control of possession and sending balls through for chances and wide to Harrission Ovenden and Archie O’Donavan on the flanks who both working extremely hard up and down for H&DYFC, but Wiltshire defence stands up strong. Wiltshire attack strongly in last 10 mins but Leo Ryves makes superb challenge to stop them going through on goal. Wiltshire continue to press and cross inside box is blocked bravely and strongly by Yuvraj Landa who takes a nasty injury to face in the process. Game ends H&DYFC 3 – Wiltshire 0.
