Bridgwater 5-0 Paulton Rovers
Bridgwater entertained Paulton Rovers today in the CO1 Cup. Paulton started brighter than FCB who were on the back foot for the first 10 minuets. FCB soaked up the early pressure and scored after putting together some neat moves. Michael Cooper latched onto a great ball from Charlie Crook and blasted the ball hard and low into the Paulton net. FCB then took control of the game and should of made it 2-0 on several occasions until there pressure paid off when Leo James slotted the ball home neatly.
Half time came and Paulton regrouped and started brightly in the second half. FCB soon took control of the game again when Charlie crook broke down the right , cut inside and smashed the ball in the top corner from 25 yards away. Charlie crook then made it 4.0 after a near identical move and finished down the right side.
Jaminski received a yellow card for a mistimed challenge on the Paulton right winger although it certainly wasn't malicious in any way.
The Game was tough for both teams and on another day and better finishing the score line would be different.
On wards and upwards for FCB. They entertain Cheltenham town next week after back to back wins.
