BIC welcomed NS Yellows to Brunel Academy 3G for the second meeting this season. BIC were not to take their opponents lightly with NS Yellows the only team to beat them in league competition in more than 12 months last time out.
BIC started quickly from the off and worked the ball wide which was delivered with precision into the six yard box for Owen Humphries to poke home after 1 minute.
The possession was dominated by BIC in Q1 but no further clear cut chances for either team. In Q2 BIC did up their game in the attacking third forcing some good corners. They extended their lead through Max Wiltshire and then Todd Fisher who made it 3 nil with similar goals reacting quickest to good corners.
NS did create more problems in Q2 with some direct balls into channels putting pressure on the BIC defence but no clear cut chances.
In Q3 NS did get a goal with some pressure on the BIC defence, the ball was given away and Michael Pouncey reacted quickest to smartly finish past the keeper. BIC then made it 4 soon after through captain Dan Bull with a long range half volley which found the bottom corner.
NS kept battling through Q3 and held firm for the remainder. In Q4 BIC upped their game again against tiring opponents and Raheim Rowe made it 5-1 finishing from a good cross on the left.
There were two goals in quick succession from BIC wide player Habil Hanand in Q4 whose positive runs at the NS defence paid off. The score line was completed late on when Dan Bull again found the bottom corner from distance to make 8-1.
BIC would like to thank Jeff and his team for the game today. They were competitive throughout and gracious opponents. We wish them well for the remaining games.
