WBA Glos welcomed Birmingham Saint George to Eastington this morning.
WBA started well with some controlled football on a vermwet pitch. Half way through the first half Birmingham pounced on a mistake to leave Jack Smith 1v1 against the keeper which calmly placed in the bottom left corner. WBA responded in a positive way in the second quarter with three goals in quick succession from Tom Whiteside, Ethan Ingram and Josh Bird to put the home side in control at half time. Third quarter saw Ethan Dunbar score on the break to make it 4-1. With the game virtually over as a contest the last quarter was an anti climax. Credit must go to Birmingham who kept going in difficult conditions and playing the majority of the quarter with only nine players due to injury, with a special mention to captain Jack Robison who made some great tackles.
