Match Report

This game started and continued at a 100mph for the first 10 minutes with both teams failing to get their foot on the ball and play. DBA created the first opening after Matty Parker whipped a volleyed cross into the area that DBA strikers didn't react to. After 10 minutes DBA finally settled and Finley Gaynor found Matty Parker on the left who delivered a great ball which Josh Mussell scrambled into the net. The second goal followed shortly after for DBA with an Anthony Rupende corner finding Reece Platt who headed home from 6 yards. DBA went 3-0 up just before half time thanks to a ?????. Cirencester started the 2nd half the brighter team and started to create some chances, eventually finding the net thanks to a lovely curling finish from 25 yards from Alfie Cook. Just as cirencester started to gain momentum DBA stung them with a fourth goal following a great counter attack where Aon Abbas ran 60 yards with the ball before playing the ball to Rupende who played a perfectly weighted dinked pass into the path of the rapid Abbas who calmly slotted past the keeper. Cirencester then had some lovely play which led to a goal by Levi Irving. DBA began to assert again and Ethan Gayle picked the ball up on the left hand side of the box, cut inside and released an unstoppable shot into the far top right corner which any keeper in the world would of struggled to save. A 6th goal followed for DBA as the excellent Fin Gaynor ran 50 yards to press and win the ball of the cirencester centre back with the ball dropping the ball to Ant Rupende on the edge of the box who took it round 1 man and hit a thunderbolt off the underside of the bar and in from 20 yards. Final score 6-2. All at DBA would like to wish Cirencester the best of luck for the rest of the season and look forward to the return fixture. We were very impressed by some of the football the cirencester lads played.
