Match Report

A competitive between what seemed two well matched sides. Chorley despite the travel edged the first period although the better chances fell to 780.

Period 2 saw 780 compose themselves and show more quality with the ball and through the hold up play of Purdy, and pace of Woodhead and Simpson they began to create more openings. The Chorley keeper made some good saves 1v1.

Period 3 saw 780 play some wonderful attacking football but unable to put the ball in the goal, and Chorley threatened when hitting both posts from the same corner.

3 minutes into period 4, Purdy put 780 in front with a composed finish after good work from Simpson. This quickly became 2-0 as Woodheadโ€™s pace down the left, saw his cut back miss hit by Simpson which fell into the path of Purdy who make no mistake.

2-0 and a good game to watch.
